Do not start writing SEO content until you complete the comprehensive keyword research. In this, you choose the short tail and long-tail keywords related to your next topic. You also check the trend to identify whether the demand for such keywords is going up or down.

You can consider linking to .gov and .org sites as well because these sites publish authentic posts. If you have used proper outbound links, then it will help visitors to increase their knowledge. It will also help search engines to understand that you have done significant research to write this SEO-friendly content.

However, inbound links are also crucial to add to SEO writing. It helps users to access similar posts to get more information in related keyphrases. Hence, adding relevant inbound and outbound links is also a good thing you can consider.
